Jacquelynn Kleist arrived in Santiago, Chile a week and a half ago. Her previous trepidation over living in a country that has been "known to boil guinea pigs" as her dentist warned her, vanished once she bonded with the other Americans and discovered what a fascinating place she was in. Of course everything isn't perfect. She only recognized about 20% of the food in a Chilean salad bar, and her orientation included:
Numerous warnings about popular space heaters that release poisonous gas, Chilean public transportation in general, and, most importantly not looking like a vulnerable American in general.
We are anxious to find out if those warnings come to fruition, but we know Jackie is more than capable of handling herself.
