Jackie is in the midst of a Chilean presidential campaign. Student demonstrations (which often turn into riots) are breaking out everywhere and she was even eating in a café when one of the candidates stopped by on a press junket. Jackie gives us some interesting insights into Chilean politics.
She also attempted to introduce her host family to chocolate chip cookies (minus some of the key ingredients that are all but impossible to find in Santiago), traveled to Argentina, and got to teach English to a group of high school students. With a few more educational trips planned, things are just heating up.
