Phil has unfortunately come to the end of his semester. It's been an amazing ride through the ancient streets of Rome and the glorious canals of Venice. He's helped us witness the fantastic art of Paris and the rolling hills of Germany. He allowed us to grieve over the crippling death of the Pope and stress over the election of a new one. He has been the ultimate travel guide through the ultimate adventure.
Before leaving us, though, he gave us an interesting look at finals week in Florence and Tuscany. Then, he wrote his heartbreaking goodbye to Rome. People have replied to him with comments like "Thank you so much for allowing us to read about your experience and for explaining it so vividly, making us feel as if we were really there too. I am sad to see your entries end, but I am glad you had such an amazing, unforgettable experience in another part of the world. Italy will always be a part of you now," "It's been so amazing to hear your account, and it is so fortunate that you were there while all that stuff was going on. I know you'll miss Rome so much!" and, "Your stories were amazing and interesting. I hope you still blog here and I hope life has more in store for you." He has assured us that he will be back on the blog with a full account of his reentry into America. It should be interesting.
