Emma offers us an intensive overview of the tiny African village of Nder. Her latest posts describe the schoolwork she has been doing and the final project she must accomplish. She also discusses how as the semester has progressed, she is spending less and less time with the other American students and more and more time with her host family, who has warmly embraced her as one of their own. She talks about having slumber parties and being cooked special meals and wanting to take the children home to America with her. She has truly fallen in love with this African family.
She also had an unforgettable experience with one of the leaders of the community that led a 40-year-old mother of six who was reading the blog to break down in tears of joy and demand Emma to write a book about her time in Senegal.
